A town in northern New Mexico that is home to the Los Alamos National Laboratory, the birthplace of the atomic bomb. In the late 1940s and early 1950s, Los Alamos was the epicenter of the 'green fireball' phenomenon, where anomalous, silent, brightly colored objects were repeatedly seen flying over highly restricted nuclear facilities. These sightings deeply alarmed atomic scientists and military intelligence, leading to specialized tracking efforts like Project Twinkle.
